Dongbeiren Restaurant or Northeast Chinese Restaurant (Hainan Dongbeiren Dining Culture Co., LTD.) was founded in 1993 in Hainan Province of China.
At the time, there were millions of entrepreneurs from the North gathered in Hainan Special Economic Zone to seek fortune. The founder of Dongbeiren Restaurant was also among them. The painful homesickness led to the idea of a restaurant serving cuisines from homeland.
From 1995 on, the Dongbeiren Restaurant has successively introduced black earth food, coarse food, wild vegetables, hand-wrapped dumplings with hand-chopped stuffing, and other varieties of health food to the market. Its dining culture features the Song-and-dance Duet, Yanko Dance, stone mill, ancient well, and heatable brick beds typical in Northeast China. It was the first in China to launch the "pleasant dining" experience of black earth food. Now, the restaurant has opened more than 20 branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Macao.
